When it comes to Japanese flavored chips, these smoked cheese Pringles are pretty tame. To be fair, they are exactly as advertised – smoky and cheesy. The taste is similar to what you would get if you mixed some liquid smoke into some powdered cheese and overall it’s pretty tasty. But bringing novelty cheese flavored chips to Japan is like bringing a knife to a gunfight. It simply can’t compete with the wasabi, mustard, plum, fish, seaweed, and truffle-flavored chips that sit next to it on the shelf. It’s good, but by the standards of the Mini Stop, its solidly in the minor leagues.
