Coke is delicious. I love coke. The Coca-cola company does great things with its sugary beverages. But please do not mess with tea. Bottled tea is precious to me, and I do not trust the Coca-Cola company with the responsibility of making a quality cup of tea. It’s not about blends or chemistry or market testing – a cup of tea is just leaf and stick water, and that is how I like it. This tea is mild, indistinct, and generic to the extreme. It’s made by a faceless corporation and you can tell – there’s not a drop of character in there. And in a tea section filled with beautiful, flavorful, distinctive teas – why bother?
Sunday’s New York Times Magazine is ALL candy from around the world.
